Kyle Busch has suddenly passed away age 41 after suffering a medical emergency late Thursday night.
The two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion was testing in his simular before he became unresponsive and coughed up blood.
The main cause of his death is currently unknown.
Busch has been labeled the ‘Kobe Bryant’ of NASCAR, having a highly successful career, and eerily, the two died aged 41, and sported the #8 in their career (with Busch carrying multiple numbers through the last two decades).
Busch is the winningest driver among NASCAR’s national series with 234 victories across the three series, the last of which was at Dover in the Truck Series just last week.
Of those wins, 63 came NASCAR’s top series, ranked as the eighth winningest driver of all-time.
Though labeled as one of the sports great villains, Busch is highly respected among his peers, particularly with arch rival Joey Logano.
“Let’s be honest, Kyle and I never sae eye to eye on a lot of things on the race track”, Logano said in the Fox Sports booth today.
“But off the race track, our kids play in the parking lot together… it’s just like we’re old friends.”
“The whlole industry is in complete shock and we’re all heartbroken at the moment.”
Busch will be known to be one of the most decorated and successful drivers of all time, getting his first NASCAR Cup Seires victory back in California in 2005, and winning some of the sports biggest races.
He is particularly remembered for his 2015 championship run, missing the first 10 races of the season due to injury, and coming back to eventually win the championship that year.
Many fans will recognise and remember him for running the famous #18 M&M’s Toyota with Joe Gibbs Racing for much of his career, winning both his championships with JGR.

The two-time champion won a race in every season from 2005 to 2023, having the longest season winning streak of anyone in NASCAR history.
Richard Childress Racing announced they will retire the #8 Chevrolet until his son Brexton (who is currently 11-years-old) is ready to race in NASCAR’s main series.
Busch will be remembered for his competitive spirit, hilarious interview moments, and being a commited husband and father.
